As your Merchant of Record, Spaire is the legal seller on every transaction processed through the platform. This means we share responsibility for what gets sold. We focus exclusively on digital products and software — we do not support physical goods or purely human-delivered services.

What you can sell

  • Software & SaaS — web apps, desktop apps, mobile apps, CLI tools, APIs
  • Digital products — templates, fonts, icons, design assets, code libraries, eBooks, PDFs, video courses, audio content, stock media
  • Licenses & access — software licenses, gated content, community access, digital subscriptions
The general rule: your product must be digital, deliverable immediately (or via your own system), and something you’d confidently describe to a bank or regulator without hesitation.

What you cannot sell

This list is not exhaustive. Spaire reserves the right to review, restrict, or suspend accounts at any time if we determine the usage is deceptive, high-risk, or harmful to consumers.
Illegal or regulated
  • Anything illegal in the jurisdictions you operate in or sell to — for example, selling unlicensed financial tools into France or Germany where financial advice regulations apply
  • Products that violate payment network rules (Visa, Mastercard, Stripe’s restricted businesses list)
  • Regulated financial services — trading bots, investment signals, brokerage tools, crypto assets
Harmful or deceptive
  • Fake testimonials, review inflation platforms, or social proof manipulation
  • “Get rich quick” content or schemes
  • Products using misleading claims about results or outcomes
  • Malware, spyware, or tools designed to compromise systems
Adult & age-restricted
  • Adult content of any kind, including AI-generated
  • Products targeted at or accessible to minors
  • Age-restricted goods (alcohol, tobacco, vaping products)
Physical & human services
  • Physical goods of any kind
  • Consulting, design, marketing, or development services sold as a product
  • Anything requiring human fulfilment that isn’t digital and immediate
Marketplace & resale
  • Selling other people’s products or services through Spaire
  • Reselling software licenses you don’t own or aren’t authorized to redistribute
  • Products where you don’t hold the required IP rights or distribution licenses
Other prohibited categories
  • Donations or charity-style transfers (no product exchange)
  • Gambling, lotteries, mystery boxes, or randomized reward mechanics
  • IPTV services
  • NFTs and crypto assets
  • Telecommunication or eSIM services
  • Third-party content downloaders (YouTube rippers, Instagram scrapers, etc.)
  • API or IP cloaking services
  • Medical advice, pharmaceutical, or weight loss products
  • Pseudo-science services (horoscopes, fortune-telling, clairvoyance)
  • Travel reservations, timeshares, or travel clubs
  • Watermark removal tools
  • Advertising automation, lead scraping, or bulk outreach tools
  • Services that circumvent rules or rate limits of other platforms

Restricted categories

These are allowed but require closer review before activation. We apply a higher bar for quality, trust, and compliance:
  • Directories & boards — must have a clear legitimate purpose; not primarily selling ad placement
  • Marketing services — must not offer spam, mass outreach, or unsolicited contact features
  • Pre-orders & paid waitlists — high-risk by nature; we may withhold payouts until fulfilment is verified
  • Ticket sales — event and access tickets on a case-by-case basis
  • eBooks — accepted, but AI-generated or low-effort content is not

Common questions

Can I sell a SaaS product to customers in France? Yes. Spaire handles VAT collection and remittance for EU transactions including France. You focus on your product; Spaire manages the tax compliance. Can I offer a paid waitlist to validate my idea before building? Generally no. Pre-orders are high-risk because consumers can dispute the charge if the product isn’t delivered as described. For established teams with a track record, exceptions may be considered — contact us to discuss your case. Can I sell a course with consulting calls included? The digital course component is fine. If the consulting or coaching element is the primary value being sold, that moves into human services territory which we don’t support. A course with optional office hours as a minor add-on is typically acceptable. Not sure if your product qualifies? Reach out before you launch. It’s faster to get a quick answer than to build something out and find out it’s not supported.
